My sweet boy

Mommy found this on Lucky Beans - this is sort of how mommy thinks of Maxie

“Childhood is fleeting. It is hard to believe that while it is happening– it is all absorbing and utterly complete in its richness and textures, its colour and emotion and intensity. The quiet days of infancy have already fled through our home, leaving in their wake this vibrant energy of childhood.

He is four. A four who can tell jokes and make faces, who can tell you precisely what he thinks (of you, no less), who asks questions, spends hours playing with model animals, disappears into the bush with his orange net for an afternoon of “catching”, colours and paints with confidence… Does most things with confidence. Including making cookies, and eating the dough by the spoonful. He is funny and willful, kind and quiet, loving, stubborn and enthusiastic. He still wants his cuddles, and fell asleep in my lap after school yesterday. My sweet boy.”
